I always thought my college degrees would be somewhat helpful in my job search. So did many other college students. Now, it seems that everyone has a degree. And just like with inflation in money, as more degrees are handed out, they lose value. Especially considering the relative ease of getting a bachelors degree these days. Go DeVry!
I don't even want to get started about how much a good education will cost the average student or how much tuition has increased over the last 10 years. All I know is that in my final year of college, as new high tech buildings were sprouting all over campus where flowers used to be, my tuition increased for the fourth year in a row and I couldn't go anywhere on campus without seeing a massive flat screen television either turned off or displaying some lame power point slide show. Yet all students had to pay $0.15 per page to print on some new extremely confusing and time-wasting wireless printing system, which no one could figure out.
By the time I figured out how to print, I graduated, and began to study what I wanted and started to ask questions. Like, where was all the money going? Definitely not to enhance my education. I'm not saying a college education is bad. It just seems that for the average potential student it may not be the best choice. Here are a few interesting things I think you should read and watch...
