VIDEO: Thai police help protesters remove barriers in Bangkok
In an apparent attempt to ease tension on the streets of Bangkok after days of violence, Thai police help protesters remove barriers to government buildings. Police were ordered to stand down and allow demonstrators enter government buildings. Officers work with jubilant protesters to cut barbed wire and remove heavy concrete blockades. Police say the action was taken to reduce tension – but emphasise that the police are still in control.
