How Hollywood pushes fluoridation with intellectually dishonest programming
(NaturalNews) Hollywood has always been ready to make fun of fluoridation opponents whenever the need was felt. The fluoride opposition has grown stronger in the last few years, so once again a Hollywood script pokes fun at people trying to stop water fluoridation. NBC's Parks and Recreation November "Fluoride" episode is typical.
The wackiest, nuttiest and outwardly evil characters are of course opposing fluoride, and the do-good sympathetic character is pushing fluoridation on the city council. Can you imagine the uproar in mainstream media if the sympathetic Amy Poehler character actually tried to stop the imminent fluoridation in Pawnee, Indiana?
We would still be reading about the outrage today, a month after the show aired in November 2013. Even well balanced TV documentaries raise howls of protest from fluoridationists and their friends in government - as BBC producers found out when they looked at England's fluoridation battles in the 1990's.
